The Art Nest Policy:
Class: The class consists of 12 max students, ages 7 years old and up. Classes are one hour long. We cannot reserve a space in class until completed registration application and full payment are received.
Trial Class: One trial class is offered to first time students for $25. This will give them the opportunity to try the class without a commitment. Please note that availability is limited and spots are on a first-come-first-served basis.
Registration Fee: The registration fee covers all art supplies and creative materials for the semester. It is $30 per student per semester. The registration fee is not refundable as we order art supplies and materials ahead of time, and it is much harder to secure a spot at the last minute.
Tuition Payment: The tuition payment is due in full on the first day of class of each semester. We accept credit card online payment.
Returned Check: If a check is returned due to insufficient funds, subsequent payment is required by cash, money order or certified check. There will be a $40 charge on any check returned even if no longer registered.
Private Lessons: One on one sessions are available upon request for all ages.
Withdrawal and Refund: A prorated refund will be given to students withdrawing from classes during the first week of the class. If the student is withdrawing in the second week, only 50% of the tuition will be processed. There will be no refunds after the second class. Requests for refund must be in writing. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for processing of refunds. Registration fee is not refundable.
Cancellation: The Art Nest reserves the right to modify the classes, change instructors or cancel classes not meeting minimum enrollments. In such cases, unused tuition will be refunded or credited.
Absence & Make-up Policy: The Art Nest offers one make-up session per semester if your child has been absent for any reason. The make-up session can be conducted either in class of different time slot where the spot is available, or by scheduling in advance a makeup session on the last day of the semester. Make-up classes need to be requested by the parents via email, and need to be scheduled before the end of the semester. There are no make-ups for any special programs sessions. A missed make-up class will not be rescheduled. Please be considerate. Classes are small and advance notice allows us to schedule a make-up class.
Punctuation: Please note that class start and end times are strictly adhered to. Students and parents are responsible for being on time for all classes. Class time cannot be extended if the student is late. Lesson credits will be given if the school is forced to close for emergency reason and/or teacher is absent and cannot reschedule the session.
Drop-Off: Parents are encouraged to drop off their kids. Link to real-time ArtNestCam is available for registered students, and we would like the parents to arrive 10 minutes prior to the end of the class when our art instructors provide their feedback about the students’ work. Parents of first time trial students are welcomed to stay and observe the class.
Pickup: Students will not be dismissed to anyone other than the Parent/Legal Guardian on this form unless provided with a signed letter. Individuals other than the signed Parent/Legal Guardian on this form MUST SHOW ID. The name on the signed letter must match the ID presented. There will be a $10 fee for late pickup amounting to ten minutes or more.
General Studio Etiquette: No cell phone, no picture taking, and no audio/visual recording during the class. No food is allowed in the class.
Class Etiquette: The Art Nest requires my child to meet certain standards of behavior. He/she is also required to be respectful to the instructors and fellow students. If my child fails to behave or demonstrates repeated unsatisfactory conduct that becomes disruptive during class, the Art Nest personnel has the right to dismiss my child from the Program without reimbursement for the balance of any unattended classes.
Audio/Visual/Photograph Consent: The Art Nest may audio/visual-record and/or photograph classes or even events for educational purposes, website and publications.
